About Me:
Hi, my name is Diane, and I thank you for checking out my site. I have been doing child care for 19 years, and love watching each child grow and develop into their own little personalities. In my free time I like to go shopping, be with my friends, do scrap booking, baking, gardening, camping, and go for walks.
About my daycare
My daycare is open Monday thru Friday all year long. My hours are 6:30A.M. - 4:30 P.M. I do not ask to be paid for my vacation time, but I do get paid Holiday time.
Every day is different, I judge the day by the kids as to what we will be doing. We learn alot from play itself, I feel that is such an important part of their little lives because it teaches them how to socialize with others, get along, and be respectful of one another. But being a home daycare also gives us that homey warm feeling. We do lots of activities such as celebrating all holidays and Birthdays, we do puzzles, books, music, crafts, dress up clothes, coloring, play dough, and of course we have lots and lots of toys. We work with the calander on numbers colors and shapes everyday. We work in our preschool workbooks each day, and we also do the Funshine express preschool program a couple of times a week during the school year which just enforces their hands on learning experience. Sometimes we may just curl up with a blanket and pillow and watch a suitable childrens movie. And then we like to play outside when ever possible. In the winter when it is to cold to be outside we sometimes play in the garage with riding toys and balls. After daycare hours I put in numerous hours of training so that I can stay up to date with todays busy world.
